Why Bamboo?

Bamboo is a mystical plant that symbolizes strength, flexibility, tenacity, endurance and compromise. This garment is crafted with bamboo which provides a smooth almost cashmere like touch that is 100% hypoallergenic and keeps the body 2 to 3 degrees cooler than a traditional cotton garment during hot weather. Bamboo has tremendous moisture wicking properties as well as having a natural stretch that provides an athletic performance fit. Bamboo naturally inhibits the growth of bacteria making this garment antimicrobial without the need for sprays or treatments. Bamboo fabric is also naturally anti-static and UV protective.

The environmental benefits of bamboo clothing are exceptional. Bamboo plants grow extremely fast and do not require fertilizers or pesticides. They require very little water and can survive drought conditions, as well as flooding. Bamboo is a 100% sustainable and renewable resource as the bamboo plant is self-replenishing. Bamboo releases a significant amount of oxygen into the atmosphere, more so than trees, helping to reduce the level of carbon dioxide in the air. Bamboo can be planted in high soil erosion areas and is also suitable for planting in areas which have suffered significant soil degradation and deforestation.
